Code of Practice Management of Network Control Officers Update

The Development Group has been formed for this new RISSB project, with over 20 subject matter experts keen to be involved.

It is anticipated that the group will hold a kick off meeting in mid-May to discuss the overall scope and objective of this Code.

Rail Traffic Horn Use Code of Practice Approved For Release

This important new Code was approved for publication this week by the RISSB Board.

The Code details the recommendations and requirements for using rail traffic horns to support the safe operation of rail traffic on the Australian rail network. The recommendations and requirements aim to standardise the use of rail traffic horns, as well as minimise the use of rail traffic horns and the noise impact of rail traffic horns on the community where opportunity exists.

New RISSB Course Dates Released

We have now released new dates for two of our most popular face-to-face courses.

Our next Derailment Investigation and Analysis Workshop  has been scheduled for 18 July (location to be determined) and Investigate Rail Safety Incidents will be held on 12 September with the location to be determined as well.
